Kindergarten- Fourth Grade
I am overjoyed to start the year as the new K-4 Principal and Director of Curriculum & Instruction. It is an honor to be a part of a ministry that intentionally strives to glorify God through educational practices, programming initiatives, worship, community partnerships and conversations that foster as well as convey the relationship one has with Christ. The development of the whole-child is critical in order to ensure spiritual, emotional, physical, and academic growth. Therefore, I am typically found in classrooms throughout the instructional hours and immerse myself in learning opportunities alongside of students as a way to gauge their educational experience. I look forward to meeting many families throughout the year as well as working with students within their respective classrooms!
The 15-16 TPCA Theme for this year is “You Belong”. If you are new to our school community, we want you to feel encouraged and know that God has appointed your family to be a part of our mission to impact the world for Christ.
“We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” (Romans 12:5 NLT)
As a part of our Positive School-wide Behavior (PBS) initiative, students will exemplify our core values (theme, mission and vision) through the acronym, P.R.A.I.S.E. which will be embraced throughout the building.
Prepare – Preparation is key to success!
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 1 Peter 1:13
Respect –Respect is evident in our words, actions and attitude.
Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright. Proverbs 20:11
Affirm –Affirm others through words of encouragement and believe the best of one another.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
Integrity –Integrity is doing what is right and honorable when no one is looking.
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
Safety –Safety parameters ensure a comfortable, secure environment for all.
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. Titus 3: 1-2
Engage- Engage in productivity.
Do not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:12
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions throughout the year. I am happy to pray through any situation with you as well. God bless!
