Tuition Assistance through TPCA

Traders Point Christian Academy awarded almost $300,000 for 2010-2011 in tuition assistance to qualified families. Assistance is available for students in K - 12th grade. Awards are made primarily based on family demonstrated financial need.

Families need to submit their completed Application before we will consider applications for tuition assistance. Once you have applied for admission, you may apply for tuition assistance. You do not have to wait for your student to be admitted before you may apply for assistance.

After your completed TPCA application is on file, you can go online to www.factstuitionaid.com (our third party assistance review partner) to submit information about your income and expenses. If you prefer, you can pick up the paper version of the form at TPCA’s main office to complete and mail to FACTS. Note that FACTS does charge a modest processing fee for families to apply (see their website for current rates). One application is made per family, not per student applying for TPCA admission.

When this information is submitted, FACTS Management Company will review your paperwork and make a recommendation to us regarding your financial need. Once we receive this information from FACTS, the TPCA Tuition Assistance Committee will review their reports as well as any additional information you provide to arrive at an assistance award decision. Our final decisions are impacted by how much funding we have available each year. Typically, you should receive notice of your award within 2 - 3 weeks of submitting your information to FACTS. Awards are granted on a year-by-year basis and are not guaranteed for future years. Families must reapply each year for assistance.

School Choice Scholarships - Voucher Program

New for the 2011-2012 school year, the State of Indiana has established the School Choice Scholarship program that provides funding in the form of vouchers to families to choose the best school for their child. Commonly known as "vouchers", eligible families can receive this funding from Indiana that will pay part of the tuition to attend TPCA. TPCA has been approved by the State of Indiana to receive voucher funding on behalf of admitted students who meet the program eligibility rules. For more information about this program, eligibility and funding, click here. You may also visit the Indiana Department of Education website.

In addition, Indiana has established a tax credit program that can provide scholarship funding to eligible families through Scholarship Granting Organizations, or "SGO's".  TPCA has partnered with the Sagamore Institute, a state approved SGO, for this purpose. Eligibility for this program is based on household income, which must not exceed 200% of the "Free and Reduced Lunch" income levels established by the U.S. federal government.  For more information about this program and scholarships through Sagamore or to apply if you believe you qualify, click here and then click on the button showing.
