Getting Started

  1. Submit Background Authorization Form to Volunteer Coordinator. If you will be driving a bus, we will perform an additional Motor Vehicle Record Search, and will require a copy of a valid driver's license.
  2. Find service opportunities through teachers, coaches, the principal's weekly emails, or those listed on our website (See FSA Opportunities Tab). This is just the beginning of the opportunities you can sign up for. Please speak to the Volunteer Coordinator if you have any questions about how to serve or would like to explore creating new opportunities based on your profession, interests, skills, or relationships.
  3. Schedule service hours directly with task owner. Emails can be found by searching the Staff Directory. Make sure to confirm date, time, location, and responsibilities.
  4. Serve scheduled hours.
  5. Log hours in renweb Parents Web Login

Please note:

-All background check results are confidential information and stored securely.

-It is not our standard practice to communicate results unless necessary. If you would like to know the results, please feel free to contact us.

-An unclear background check does not necessarily eliminate someone from volunteering at school. We will handle this on a case by case basis to ensure the highest safety of our students and staff .

Please contact Lisa Carr (lcarr@tpcs.org) or Teri Langford (tlangford@tpcs.org) with any questions.
