Applying to TPCS

 

Applications are now being accepted for the 2020 -2021 school year.

To apply to Traders Point Christian Schools, please complete the following steps. 

Online Admission Application

Submit the online admission application. The online application fee is $25 per student. You may also choose to complete a financial aid application at this time if your student is in grades K-12. The financial aid application must be completed online through FACTS Tuition Management. The financial aid application fee is $35 per family. 

You will provide contact information for your student's current school in the online admission application. We will contact the school to request school records. A teacher reference form will be provided in the application; we ask that you provide your teacher's most recent core subject teacher with the reference form and request that they return the form directly to our office. Upon receiving these items, along with your student's application of admission, we will contact you to move on to the next step in the application process. 

Assessment and Interview

Applicants to grades K-12 are required to take a reading and math assessment, unless the student's current school can provide his or her most recent NWEA test scores. Applicants to kindergarten are assessed for early literacy (letter recognition and sounds, rhyming, listening) and early numeracy (counting and number recognition 1-20, sorting, understanding the concepts of most/least, etc.). We administer the NWEA MAP Skills Screening assessment, which is an adaptive computer based assessment with multiple choice questions. Most K-2 students take about 25-40 minutes to complete the assessment. Grade 3 -4 applicants typically take about 45 minutes to complete the assessment, and 5-12 applicants take between 45 minutes and 1 hour. 

Students and at least one parent or guardian must interview with the principal of their respective grade level. The interview typically lasts between 15-30 minutes. If your schedule allows, we suggest completing the test and the interview in the same appointment. 

Admittance and Enrollment

If your student is admitted, you will receive an offer of admission via e-mail, along with instructions on how to enroll your child as a TPCS student. Online enrollment must be completed in order for your child to be placed in classes. A $500 deposit must be submitted at the time of enrollment.
