Expanding minds, transporting learning.
Exploration Trips Mission: Expanding minds, transporting learning.
TPCS Credo: Training scholars. Making Disciples. Graduating Leaders.
Schools: Leadership, Fine Arts, Applied Sciences, Biomedical Sciences
Purpose: TPCHS students in grades 10-12 will annually embark on Exploration Trips the week before Spring Break. The trips will align with the credo of TPCS or the academic focus of the particular school in which the student is enrolled. Students will be required to participate in the Love Indy trip as 9th graders and then the journey of their choice each year after that. The trip options will be focused on enhancing the learning focus of each school. A student who is a member of a School will have the first choice for the trip associated with their school. Students who are not a member of a particular School are still expected to attend a trip and will make their selection based on the offerings available each year.
2019-2020 offerings are:
- Discipleship in Costa Rica
- Service in Appalachia
- STEM in Houston
- Civil Rights in Memphis
In addition, Traders Point Christian Upper Junior High students will annually embark on the following in the spring:
- 7th Grade: Creation Museum and Cincinnati Zoo
- 8th Grade: American Heritage to Shanksville, PA; Washington, D.C.; and New York City
